Hello family and friends! As most of you know,
I am currently in my junior year at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. I am
about to complete my first year of nursing school in May! It has been a crazy,
stressful and busy year with the workload that nursing school brings but the
Lord has been so faithful! He is doing wonderful things, and I know that He
will continue to be faithful to finish the good work He has started in me,
especially this last year of school. UMHB has been a wonderful place for me to
grow and be challenged in my relationship with the Lord. While I have been
here, the Lord has opened my eyes to His heart for the nations and their need
for the Gospel. I have been
earnestly praying that the Lord would somehow use me to be a part of His work
in the nations and show them His love, glory and grace. Once again He has been
faithful! As I take the summer away from school, God has blessed me with the
opportunity to go to Cote d’Ivoire in West Africa not only to further my
education, but also to join Him in His work there.
On June 15th, I will depart for Cote d’Ivoire
to spend 4 weeks working as a Student Nurse Intern at a large inpatient
hospital the city of Ferkéssedougou, also known as Ferké for short. While
there, I will be doing dressing changes, patient consultations, vaccination
clinics, prenatal and well baby check-ups, ambulance runs and so much more!
While patients are staying in the hospital, there will be time for friendship
and evangelism. During my time in
Cote d’Ivoire, I will be living with missionaries who also work in the
hospital. I will be going through
a mission organization called DELTA Ministries International that specializes
in short-term and mid-term missions. DELTA is responsible for my placement in
this amazing opportunity and I absolutely cannot wait!!!
I am excited about the opportunity to serve and to
minister in Cote d’Ivoire and I ask you to join me in ministry. First and
foremost, I am asking you to partner with me in prayer starting now. Pray that
the Lord will continue to prepare my heart and the hearts of those I will be
ministering to. Prayer is the fuel that will allow me to be successful as I
follow God’s leading in ministry in Cote d’Ivoire. A second way you can participate is by helping me
financially. Would you prayerfully consider if this is the way God would like
you to participate? The total cost of the trip including my airfare, food,
housing and other expenses is approximately $4,100.00. You can donate online by
going to www.deltaministries.com. Once there click on Donate/Payments,
then click on Donate Now. Under
Categories & Funds choose Short-Term Missionary Support from dropdown, then
in Comments type: Kimberly Jones, Team 2013930WV. This donation is 100% tax deductible. I would absolutely love
for you to be a part of my ministry through your prayers or generous support.
If you have any questions, want to know more about my
trip or hear about my heart for the nations please feel free to contact me at

all involved through this blog. Please
make sure to visit it often, as I will be updating it as much as possible.
I thank you in advance for your prayers and your
financial support. May God bless you richly!
In Him,
Kim Jones
